Heavenly Father, sometimes the challenges of this world do seem more than I can bear. Help me to rely on Christ’s promise that he has overcome the world.

Reflection
In today’s reading in 30 Days of Unlimited Grace: Daily Prayer Devotional by Unlimited Grace Ministries, Bryan Chapell rites,
Have you ever wondered how we know that God truly cares for us? The answer to that question comes from his warning. God does not want us to be unaware of his plan, so he gives us a heads up about events big and small—past, present, and future. God cares enough to warn his people throughout history, because he knows that faithlessness in a fallen world is difficult. It’s important to remember that we serve a big God who has any and every issue under his control. So, we can trust that he will ultimately provide a way out of our troubles and temptations. And in the moments when the future seems unclear, take comfort in knowing he’s always with you, even when the mysteries of this life, and the challenges you face, seem overwhelming.
Yesterday, I had a tire go flat. I realize that one situation changed my entire day’s plans. God is concerned with what concerns us. HE simply desires that we allow HIM to have the final say, no matter what.
I just want to thank God for allowing that flat to occur while I was only going 25 mph. There was no explosion, just a slow rumbling. Then, a Cop and a Teacher volunteered to change the flat. Little did I know, the spare tire that came with my used (but like new) car, did not even fit the wheels. It was obviously used and not the right size for my vehicle. While my two angels worked, another parent drove up and offered to lead me to a nearby auto shop.
With enough air added to get me down the street, I followed this third stranger to my next miracle. As it turns out, my alternator was shot. If my battery had gone dead in the winter, I would have been stranded with no power. Long story short, The LORD made a way for me to get my alternator fixed, along with installing four new tires and brakes will be replaced next, all for the price of one tank of gas that day. Had I gone to a different auto shop, I would not have been able to afford the out-of-pocket expense of almost $2,000.
I am sure the enemy planned for me to be on the highway and have a blowout with a dead battery and a likely collision, and not so much as money for a tow truck. On the way to the auto shop, I said to GOD, I believe you for FOUR (4) new tires. I have never heard of the auto shop I was led to. I did not have roadside assistance on my insurance; I had not had a paycheck from my new job in a month (2 pay periods in the hole as a new hire), and I have not changed a tire in over twenty years. But GOD showed up in my situation, just like HE always does.
I dare you to give GOD all you’ve got – because when you need HIM, HE’s always right on time according to HIS perfect plan.
Jeremiah 29:11-12
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
